The divine is all that is not yet a thing.
The divine is all that is not culture; it is in this potential that we can still be what we are not, that we can discover and reinvent.
Is this space what we look for in rituals practices? Or the attempt to recreate the past, as if we forgot that memory is an inevitable update of an event?
Corpo Santo is a performance with a ritual shadow. A dance to find a sublime moment, transcendence. The drums play alongside the synthesizers and the Candomblé 'festa' is present in echo and color of those who dance, but this ritual does not have the pretention of being identified. It's a performance created by movements imagined, dreamed and even lived by the choreographer Rita Vilhena in Salvador da Bahia in the Amazon and Portugal. It is a journey to expand the limits of the body.
